Have you started your income tax return and need to complete your information and submit your income tax return for transmission?
It generally takes 48 hours to hear back from the IRS regarding your income tax return. It will either be:
Accepted - the IRS accepts your information as filed and begins to process your tax refund.
Sent Back for Correction - The IRS has identified a problem with the information entered. You need to log in and correct the error and resubmit. You will not be charged again to correct your income tax return and resend it.
OnLine Taxes send out automated status emails to notify you of the status of your income tax return. Sometimes, these messages may be blocked by filters. If you do not receive a status email, make sure that you check back in to confirm the status of your return.
If your income tax return was sent back for correction, the IRS has identified a problem with your return. You need to log in and correct the error and resubmit. You will not be charged again to correct your income tax return and resubmit it.
You can view or/and print your 2004 income tax forms at anytime during the tax year. There will be links to each individual form. If you need to view or print an income tax return filed through OnLine Taxes in 2003, you need to click
here.
You may need to view the information that you input into the site after your income tax return has been accepted. You can not change this information, but you may view and/or print it.
It is very important that you keep a copy of your W-2(s) with your copy of your income tax return. You do not mail these in when you efile. If you have misplaced or lost your W-2, you can view what you input on OnLine Taxes. Please note that this is only the information you input, not an official copy of your W-2. You will need to contact your employer or the IRS directly to receive an official copy.
If you have moved, changed names, or changed email addresses since filing your income tax return and wish to continue to receive correspondence from OnLine Taxes, you will need to update your information.
